Irmantas did not dream of new career opportunities when he joined Civinity as a maintenance and operations specialist, but the four-year period has been full of new opportunities.
In 2017, Irmantas joined the team and proved that when you work with diligence and responsibility, all doors open. Shortly after, he was invited to work in another department and take up the position of Environmental Management and Cleaning Foreman and become a leader in the team.
“At Civinity, I have the freedom to work in different departments and gain new experiences. When I first started leading the team, I always tried to involve my colleagues in the decision-making process because that’s when they are most effective.” – he says.
A year later, Irmantas was offered the position of Quality Assurance Manager, and without much thought, he accepted the new position. And new positions bring new opportunities: almost two years later, the company’s managers came back with another offer for Irmantas, only this time it was different.
“The managers offered me the position of supervisor in the plumbing department of the emergency services. I cannot hide the fact that when I heard this offer, I was happy, because I knew I was appreciated and noticed. The new position also brought new responsibilities, not only to the employees, managers, company leaders, but also to me. At first it was difficult to manage a new team, because the emergency service is open 24 hours a day, I had to learn a lot, and when I started my new position there is no monotony at work anymore.” – shares Irmantas.
